Jade Saul, the pen name of Jayson Lindseth, grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, where he developed an early love for reading. His passion for spy thrillers took root during his youth, immersing himself in gripping stories he could never put down. This love for the genre ultimately inspired him to pursue writing. A writing instructor once called him the "master of plots," sparking his deeper interest in crafting thrilling narratives.
Though writing started as a hobby, it quickly grew into something more as Jayson explored his fascination with the world of espionage. His storytelling was strongly influenced by the works of acclaimed authors such as Robert Ludlum (The Bourne Identity), Mark Greaney (The Gray Man), Brad Taylor (Enemy of Mine), Brad Thor (State of the Union), and Steve Berry (The Tudor Plot).
Jayson’s passion for travel has taken him across Europe, allowing him to visit many of the places featured in his books. He’s ventured through cities like Copenhagen, Denmark; Oslo, Norway; Stockholm, Sweden; Helsinki, Finland; Tallinn, Estonia; St. Petersburg, Russia; Berlin, Germany; Cartagena and Barcelona, Spain; Milan and Rome, Italy; Gibraltar, and Marseille, France. These journeys have provided him with first-hand knowledge and inspiration for the international settings that anchor his stories.
Before signing with Provoco, Jayson self-published two thrilling spy novels: The Baltic Sanction and The Merchant of the Black Market. His debut novel with Provoco, Night Drop, was sparked by his interest in current events, particularly the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia. His vivid imagination, paired with real-world events, has helped him craft a gripping narrative that blends action, suspense, and political intrigue.
When he's not writing, Jayson can often be found doing research for his upcoming projects, reading the latest spy thrillers, listening to music, or enjoying a good movie. He also enjoys walking, spending time with friends and family at the cabin, and working at Walmart. He finds inspiration everywhere, whether it's in his everyday surroundings or his keen interest in global affairs and history.
Jayson is thrilled to have signed with Provoco and is eager to see where this new chapter takes him. His work merges his passion for espionage, action, and current events, creating stories that are not only exciting but also deeply relevant to the world today.
